Mechanical systems encompass such basic building systems as those that handle the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing. 

 

However, other more elaborate, specialized systems can also be involved: 

Automatic fire alarm Automatic protection systems Air filtration units Temperature and Humidity controls Special fluids handling and piping systems Systems to utilize geothermal energy and conserve conventional energy resources

The mechanical engineer is challenged by not only meeting the requirements of the client but also conforming to the regulations of the city, county, state and federal levels of government. 

 

To keep within the client's budget, ACEI's engineers evaluate a system and its components under a cost versus function criteria to insure proper financial allocation for essential equipment and its operation.
